Spring Has Sprung!

For a little while at least. We had a string of really nice days running into last weekend, I was able to clean up a little start to get things ready. The warm weather caused my green onions and several of the perenneial herbs to pop. Then, several more inches of rain over the last two days made things marshy again. We're also supposed to be dipping back into the teens tomorrow night. We shall see.

Well, here are the herbs. From right to left, oregano, chives and tarragon. The oregano and chives are already usable, but the tarragon (next to that stick) is just starting to poke out.

The green onions are usable too, though they looked a lot better before the rain beat on them.

If the weather holds this weekend, I'll be taking down a few trees, and seeding this year's tomatoes, eggplants, peppers and brassicas. Fingers crossed.
